Apparently I'm in Buzzmob now, whatever value that holds.

I'm going home to New Jersey for a week in about a month, for good times with friends, hanging out on the porch drinking Pabst, smoking cigs and of course, Warped Tour. Max Bemis, I will meet you this time.

As far as life in Vegas, since I last updated I haven't been to many other shows, just MCR and The Staring Line. The more I see them, the more I fall in love with Bayside and Raneri's unapologetically emo lyrics. Steel Train are the raddest of the rad and they are destined for big fucking things.

I've also discovered how much I fucking love belching, had a job, quit, bought cute shit, severed ties, changed my address for voter registration, waited for an economic stimulus check that never came, made old friendships stronger and pretty much lived life. Still single, as always, but it doesn't bother me so much anymore.

George Carlin died tonight, and that's pretty shitty. He seemed like a really good guy. I hope he's in a better place.

Upon hearing Pretty.Odd., you figure out why Panic At The Disco dropped the exclamation point; the whole thing is just sort of droll and unexciting. Nothing really stands out much. I respect them for wanting to make this album on their own terms, but they could have made an album that had something resembling a pulse, and not recycled vaguely-Beatles-sounding tunes. I couldn’t wait for the thing to be over so I could pass judgement while being somewhat fair. It was painful to get through.

It’s just really disappointing when you have a terriffic and lively first album with grandiose, dramatic, catchy hooks and pop-sensibility and follow up with something that’s duller than Eisely.

that being said, while I'm in a mood for airing grievances:

Being ~*cryptic*~ and pretentious =/= intellect. I mean, just look at Audrey Kitching.

That's really all I have. It just bothers me when these smart guys have this amazing appeal and a sort of mystery, but then they decide that being "cryptic" and pretentious will play up their smarts. Not to other smart people it won't, babe. It kills any sort of attraction I had to them.

I don't get it.

It says a lt about our generation's literary skills as well as my own desperation when I think, "He used the correct form of you're/your. I'm in fucking love and I need him in my life." With that said, hotties who got A's in English class hit me uppppp. Grammar skills are fucking hot. Still unemployed :( Still have a really shitty cold. Still taking the bus, and still not in school.

Gotta get going soon, though. I have to get my iPod back from Cathlene and I might be seeing Devil Wears Prada tonight, I don't know. I'm still pissed that Four letter Lie dropped off that tour, did seven Cali dates and skipped Las Vegas. Yeah, I am taking it personally.
On Saturday the Take Action Tour stopped over in our little hamlet of Las Vegas. Every Time I Die, From First To Last, The Bled, August Burns Red and The Human Abstract. All the bands put on an amazing show, but of course, I have to say ETID were the best. Anyone who really really knows me, knows I'm a huge Every Time I Die fan. To be more specific I'm a huge fan of Keith Buckley, his lyrics, his stage presence and basically everything he stands for haha. He's not so bad on the eyes, either. He drips with a dirty kind of sex appeal. Fun Fact: He taught 10th grade English. Now that's sexy.

I would pretty much give anything to get a job at the Urban Outfitters at Madalay Bay. It's right next to House of Blues and half the bands who play there take a little trip to UO before the show. Dream job for now, much? Just until I'm done with beauty school, on my way to taking over the world, one haircut at a time.
